Thesis 22 marks the beginning of the next triad (22, 23, 24), which deals with the question of the wisdom of the law in the light of the great divide between the theologian of glory and the theologian of the cross. If, that is to say, the theologian of glory does not see God aright and thus speaks falsely, a false wisdom is the outcome. The wisdom guiding the theologian of glory is the wisdom of the law. The question here is what is the hold of such wisdom, religiously speaking, and what is the outcome?
